Episode 17: Sanyo Toaster Oven

Thursday, December 29th, 2005

If you dont already have a toaster oven, you should. Listen to episode 17 to find our reasons why (or why not) to buy a toaster oven.

In particular, I’d like to suggest the Sanyo SK-VF7S Digital Convection Toaster Oven, at Amazon.com.

With a name like the “Ultrasoft Lightweight Micro-Terry Bathrobe” from the Yumosh Line at thirstytowels.com, you can’t go wrong. Comes in white, blue, pink, lilac, seafoam, smoke, or sand. (I’d go with ’smoke’) $75.

Episode 10: Vonage Cordless Broadband Phone (VTech)

Tuesday, November 1st, 2005

Back with another Vonage recommendation. In episode 2 I recommended Vonage Phone Service.

Which I still use and believe is a great phone solution. One thing many friends have shared with me is that it is not easy to integrate it into their homes wiring. First off, I don’t think it is too difficult; however, I have the advantage of having been involved in the excessive wiring in my house. If you are a bit concerned about that; Vonage has the answer. They are now offering a package with VTECH cordless phones. Plug the base into the internet connection and plug the handsets into the power and you are done.

Episode 6: Do Not Spend Money With Geeksquad

Thursday, October 6th, 2005

Avoid at all costs spending any money with or even allowing the Geek Squad to touch your computer!

Geek Squad recently acquired by Best Buy is a rip off! You will not get resolution to your problem. You will be over charged despite the lack of resolution!

Additionally, it seems that according to the Geek Squad the best (and possibly only) way to fix a computer problem is to reformat your hard drive. Which they will do for you after backing up your system for a ridiculous price. Check out the kid next door. He knows just as much, will work cheap and only gets paid for results.

Episode 5: Under $100

Sunday, September 25th, 2005

For under $100 you can pick up a Braun Syncro Shaver. It’s an electric shaver with self-cleaning capabilities. Shave your face! Your dog’s belly for better belly scratching! Or fun designs in your head for that punk rock look.

Episode 6: Dewalt Cordless Drill

Sunday, September 25th, 2005

My pick for Under $100 for episode 6 of Money Well Spent is a Dewalt Cordless Drill.
